What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Technician position at Actalent?
The Electronics Technician will assist in the development, testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and calibration of analog and digital circuitry for industrial instrumentation according to schematics and specifications.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
- Setting up and calibrating electronics systems by following schematics and diagrams
- Troubleshooting problems with electronics and making necessary repairs
- Conducting service checks and performing routine maintenance to keep electronics functioning properly
- Communicating with operators, engineers and inspectors to understand problems and provide progress updates
- Giving demonstrations on the safe use, operation and maintenance of equipment
- Ordering or producing parts needed to make repairs and complete maintenance
- Maintaining logs that provide dates and details of repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhering to health and safety rules and regulations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 years’ experience with electronics troubleshooting PCBs
- Working experience with test equipment; oscilloscopes, meters, signal generators
- Ability to read schematics and test plans
- Ability to identify components such as diodes, resistors, integrated circuits
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in prototyping and modifying PCB circuits with through-hole and SMT components.
Work Environment
The role is based in an office environment, working closely with the IT/Electronics team of approximately 10-12 people. The dress code is business casual. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
