The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician plays a crucial role in supporting plant operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical power systems and instrumentation. This role requires collaboration with operations, engineering, maintenance, and safety teams. Positions are available for one day shift and four on a 12-hour swing shift.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment up to 480V.
- Diagnose electrical issues using multimeters, ohm meters, and diagnostic tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, motor control circuits, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical assets to reduce downtime.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain process instrumentation.
- Conduct loop checks, instrument calibration, and verification of control system functionality.
- Support and work around PLCs, HMIs, sensors, transmitters, and control loops.
- Assist with troubleshooting automated systems and machines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an I&E Technician, Controls Technician, or Automation Technician.
- Experience with industrial PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and use of multimeters and diagnostic tools.
- Exposure to CMMS systems and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop drawings, and ladder logic.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols.
