Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the Engineering team to apply expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment. This role ensures that the company maintains a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Manage the manufacturing process for new electrical equipment using design software to produce schematics and oversee installation processes.
• Develop new products and work on improving existing products.
• Participate in the design and development of supplementary processes or equipment and troubleshoot existing processes and equipment.
• Assess and maintain electrical equipment and construct complex electrical and electronic appliances from wiring diagrams.
• Possess programming capability in PLC or equivalent software for machine control and communication among machine, HMI, and other components.
• Work with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations regarding equipment installations and other facility processes.
• Ensure projects meet legal requirements, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain awareness of external product and process technology, including competitors, through external networks, literature study, technical meetings, and conferences.
• Incorporate external information into the development of new products.
• Evaluate the capability of current manufacturing technologies, equipment, processes, and practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hickory, NC.

The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
