Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will conduct engineering calculations, load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, and more. You will be responsible for effective time and budget management to meet project deliverables and schedules. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for completing drawings is essential. You will be calculating power and lighting loads for new and existing building systems, reviewing local and national codes, and performing code analyses. Additionally, you will design life safety systems and select and design the layout of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering calculations and energy analysis.
• Manage time and budget to meet project deliverables.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for completing drawings.
• Calculate power and lighting loads for building systems.
• Review and perform code analyses based on local and national codes.
• Design life safety (fire alarm) systems.
• Select and design layout of electrical equipment.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
• Proficiency in Revit for 3D environments.
• Experience in load calculation.
• Experience managing small to medium-sized projects.
• Proficiency in Navisworks and data center projects.
• E.I.T or PE certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Data Center/Commercial project experience.
• LEED accreditation and Green Building initiatives preferred.
• Mission Critical experience is preferred.
• Commissioning experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The role requires working in the office four days a week with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

The team consists of 2 architects, 6 engineers, principals, and admin staff, totaling about 15-20 members.

This position offers an opportunity to work on complex projects across the US, with the potential for a partnership track.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jersey City, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
