  • Provide electrical engineering input on new designs for production lines, facility expansions, and utility upgrades.
  • Consistently perform energy audits and lead cost-reduction initiatives related to electrical and facility systems.
  • Collaborate directly with onsite journeymen electricians to implement maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Work effectively within Microsoft Excel to analyze data, track performance, and document engineering calculations.
  • Contribute to the reliable operation of clean room environments and building automation systems to support high-volume battery and energy storage production.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical facilities or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • Ability to perform energy audits and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with journeymen electricians and cross-functional facilities teams.

Work Environment

This role is based on a multi-building gigafactory-style campus in Kokomo, Indiana, dedicated to EV battery and energy storage system production. You will spend approximately 30–40% of your time in an office setting working at a computer and 60–70% of your time on the plant floor and in utility areas working on facilities equipment. The primary buildings are air conditioned clean room environments designed to support high-volume, high-quality production. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch, offering a consistent daytime work pattern.
