Electrical Engineer

This role is crucial in new product development, supporting the entire lifecycle from concept and design to testing, manufacturing, and production support. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on electrical design experience, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a manufacturing-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new product development efforts from initial concept through production release.
• Conduct research, breadboarding, troubleshooting, and validation of new electrical designs.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation.
• Create and manage parts within eCAD software systems.
• Export eCAD files for SMT placement and BOM data to ERP systems.
• Provide detailed manufacturing documentation, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Support prototype testing, document test parameters, and update standard testing processes.
• Assist with production support, test equipment support, and technical sales support as needed.
• Participate in engineering team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical assistance to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Perform additional engineering duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable Engineering discipline.
• Experience designing in Fusion 360 or similar systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical design fundamentals and product development processes.

• Prior experience in product design or new product development.
• Experience with PCB layout, schematic capture, and manufacturing handoff.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, and their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Understanding of design techniques and principles used to create technical drawings, blueprints, and models.

This is a fully onsite role in a manufacturing and engineering environment. It involves collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams. The company emphasizes collaboration, product quality, and practical engineering impact, providing engineers the opportunity to see their work directly implemented in the field.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
