Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems, with varied experience levels starting from 2 years and beyond. The role involves the design and management of power distribution systems, specifically those below 600Vac. The position requires a strong working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, building lighting, construction specifications, and facility grounding. Additionally, expertise in critical power infrastructure, including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage power distribution systems (<600Vac).
• Utilize working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Engage in building lighting and construction specifications.
• Ensure proper facility grounding.
• Handle critical power infrastructure involving UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches.
• Collaborate with MEP managers and work on-site as needed.
• Make informed decisions based on project requirements.
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn and solve a variety of simple and complex problems.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in electrical engineering focusing on power systems.
• Proficiency in the design and management of power distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of transformers (delta/wye), switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Experience with critical power infrastructure such as UPS systems and backup generators.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and potentially Revit.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction and commissioning is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, oil and gas (upstream), or heavy commercial industries is advantageous.
• Problem-solving skills with a view of the larger scope of projects.

This is a Permanent position based out of Austin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Austin,TX.
