Electrical Engineer Pe

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in lighting, power distribution, and low voltage systems for commercial, industrial, and military construction projects of varying types. The ideal candidate will work both independently and collaboratively, effectively convey technical information, and maintain excellent communication with team members and clients.

• Design lighting, power, and systems using Revit for modeling.
• Travel to job sites to verify existing conditions and gather data.
• Coordinate with electric utility company representatives.
• Meet with clients to discuss project details, conduct building assessments, and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage a varied workload, balancing between one large project and several smaller projects, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong knowledge of building codes and standards applicable to the electrical discipline, including NEC, NFPA, and IBC.
• Ability to research and apply updates to building codes and standards.
• Understanding of lighting concepts, technologies, controls, calculations, and emergency lighting.
• Knowledge of power distribution strategies, including generator-backed systems, load calculations, and short circuit concepts.
• General knowledge of low voltage systems such as network cabling, nurse call, and security.
• Proficiency in computer applications like Microsoft Excel and Word for design calculations and project narratives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Creative thinking to solve design issues.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects while staying within scope, schedule, cost, and quality specifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a PE license.
• 5-10 years of experience in the field.

• Experience with electrical design from initial concept to completion, including drawings, specifications, and design narratives.
• Experience with electrical building design, power distribution, and lighting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Familiarity with Power Tools for Windows (PTW).
• 5% - 10% travel required.

The position offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the MEP team. The role requires occasional travel to job sites. Dress code and specific office conditions are not specified but expect a professional setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
