The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for generating, designing, and revising 2D electrical detail/schematic drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and production assembly drawings (PADs). The primary focus will be on designing wiring schematics and harness drawings using AutoCAD, as well as electrical components using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in electrical design and demonstrate high proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The engineer will also collaborate with the shop floor to verify fit and function, ensuring designs are accurately translated into physical components.
Responsibilities- Generate and design 2D electrical detail/schematic drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and production assembly drawings.
- Design wiring schematics and harness drawings using AutoCAD.
- Design electrical components using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with the shop floor to verify fit and function of designs.
- Ensure designs are accurate and meet project deadlines.
- 5 years of experience in circuitry design, load calculations, and power distribution.
- 5 years of experience in 2D AutoCAD designing electrical harnesses.
- 5 years of experience designing electrical components in SolidWorks.
- Experience working with industry standards such as ANSI/ASME, GD&T, SAE, FMVSS.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Certified SolidWorks User (CSWP) is a nice to have.
The role is based in the engineering building, working alongside other engineers. The position involves mostly designing at a cubicle with some interaction on the shop floor to ensure correctness and troubleshoot issues. The project team consists of 10 engineers, including 8 Design Engineers and 2 Electrical Engineers, working alongside functional leads and mentors. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of working four 10-hour days (Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM) after the first day. The position includes six holidays but does not offer PTO.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.00 - $46.00/hr.
