Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Description

The Electrical Designer will support the Design Engineering team using CAD tools to design and create both piece parts and multi-level assemblies of various products that are used within industry. Beyond the design activities, the individual will be expected to work with other disciplines within the organization to validate the design of the product, including taking input on design requirements, evaluating various solutions, presenting design concepts, and making recommendations on final design solutions. The position requires experience in material selection, component costing, fabrication processes, assembly processes, product verification and validation, and design trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design and create 2D prints and 3D models for both piece part components and assemblies.
• Develop assembly documentation and ensure understanding of drawing standards.
• Manage Change Notice practices and creation of Bills of Material.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate product designs.
• Present design concepts and recommend final design solutions.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years of product design experience, with 8 years preferred.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design software such as Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, and Creo.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in electrical components and assemblies, electrical schematic generation, electrical harnesses, bus bar design, and power transmission principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Design and Drafting.
• Knowledge of Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes.
• Familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing techniques.

The work environment has a start-up feel with a shared services team that is product-focused. This opportunity allows for the building and establishment of processes in a rapidly growing team, expected to expand significantly in the next 6-12 months.

This is a Permanent position based out of Menasha, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $110240.00/yr.
