Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to assist in directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for design, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within an assignment. This role involves analyzing engineering schematics, specifications, and related data to determine design factors. You will produce accurate and thoroughly verified electrical device and panel layouts, motor, control, I/O schematics, and bill of materials. Additionally, you will review designs for compliance with engineering specifications, company standards, and customer contract requirements. This position also includes providing project support to field engineers, project managers, purchasing, and panel fabricators using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.

• Assist in directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for engineering projects.
• Analyze engineering schematics, specifications, and related data to determine design factors.
• Produce accurate and thoroughly verified electrical device and panel layouts.
• Review designs for compliance with engineering specifications, company standards, and customer contract requirements.
• Provide project support to field engineers, project managers, purchasing, and panel fabricators.
• Use computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
• Communicate task completion status.
• Design and develop layouts for electrical circuits or systems for power distribution.
• Assist in the production of detailed schematics.
• Interface with customers for installation and commissioning support.

• Proficiency in electrical design and AutoCAD software.
• Experience in control panel design, PLC programming, and HMI graphics.
• Knowledge of UL508a, NEC, and NFPA 70e standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes.
• Familiarity with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to design.

The role is based in an onsite office environment, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM. There is flexibility to explore other markets like Cincinnati, with an option to work in the office three days a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville,KY.
