Job Description
- This position will provide specialized support to the Environmental, Health and Safety Department.
- Working closely with the EHS team and site operations, the position will primarily be responsible for maintaining waste management programs including hazardous, regulated medical, pharmaceutical, and other specialized wastes.
- EHS Inspections and PMs – Plan and execute Safety Preventative Maintenance and Inspections
- Waste Program Management – Manage the regulated and specialized waste program at the site.
- Work with warehouse personnel on the tracking and removal of specialized rejected products and materials.
- Regulatory Compliance/Reporting. Will oversee and maintain the Regulatory compliance matrix.
- Coordinate sampling of the wastewater
- PPE Program– Will perform safety inspections of PPE
- Emergency Response Team Coordinator – Assemble, Training and Maintain the site emergency response team
- Metric Tracking – Will be responsible for various EHS metric tracking
- Vendor Management – Coordinate and monitor external contractors involved with the removal of regulated and specialized waste streams.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, Health, Safety)
- 2 years experience working in an Environmental, Health & Safety role
- Experience in Hazardous / Regulated Waste Management
- Must possess or obtain RCRA certification and DOT certification within 60 days of employment.
Nice to Have
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience
- Experience working in a GMP environment
- EHS management systems experience (Enablon, Intelex, VelocityEHS, etc.)
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
