What You’ll Do

• Design and draft ductwork, piping, and HVAC systems for commercial and hospitality projects
• Create detailed mechanical and electrical layouts using AutoCAD and Revit
• Develop and update construction-ready MEP drawings
• Conduct site surveys to verify field conditions and gather critical data
• Coordinate layouts across disciplines to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and constructability
• Collaborate closely with engineers to refine designs and resolve conflicts
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Assist with permitting, documentation, and project closeout deliverables
• Contribute to improving drafting standards and implementing new technologies and tools

What You Bring

• 2 years of experience in MEP drafting
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit (MEP)
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, ductwork, and piping system design
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including power distribution
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• CAD certification or equivalent training

Bonus Points

• Advanced Revit skills (coordination/model management)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Electrical layout experience
• EIT certification (or working toward it)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westport, CT.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
