Job Description

The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed module drawings of fast fulfillment stations designed to accommodate groceries and quick-moving items in rural areas. The role involves designing stations ranging from 5 to 400,000 square feet, as well as contributing to future initiatives. The position specifically focuses on grocery store delivery stations and other small stations for quick-moving items.

• Work with Design Engineers to determine requirements for delivery station layouts and translate those requirements into detailed interior CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers, other CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch Execution teams to deliver approved design sets.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to review permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floorplans to address design-related inquiries.
• Support the design quality control process through participation in daily peer reviews, adherence to design checklists and standards, and constant feedback solicitation from Design Engineers.
• Deliver new designs, post-permit design updates, expansions, and retrofits to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and capacity at delivery stations.
• Implement new template designs, process improvements, and safety processes into standard designs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Architecture, AutoCAD, CAD, and AutoCAD drafting and design skills.
• Understanding of architectural floor plans, preferably in large warehouse or industrial building environments.
• Ability to work across a large number of projects simultaneously and present to leadership and stakeholders.
• Experience with construction documents, design, and drafting.
• 3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• 3 years of project coordinating experience.
• 3 years of experience in drafting (facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural).
• Associate's Degree.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain attention to detail while working independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Strong communication skills for various audiences, including written and verbal communications, and meeting facilitation.

Work Environment

The role requires onsite presence for the first 6 weeks in Bellevue, WA, with a hybrid option available afterward.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $42.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Bellevue,WA.
