Job Title: Design Engineering Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on engineering leader to manage a team dedicated to enhancing existing products. This role focuses on ensuring designs remain reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with current regulations. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing and customer support teams to address challenges and maintain the seamless operation of our products.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects aimed at improving product designs and reducing costs.
- Guide a team of engineers in supporting production and addressing field issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges.
- Ensure products meet safety and certification standards.
- Assist customers with technical solutions and updates.
- Maintain accurate and organized design documentation.
- Enhance engineering tools and processes.
- Mentor engineers to develop their skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
- 9 years of engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of experience in managing engineers or leading technical teams.
- Strong experience in product design and mechanical analysis.
- Experience in improving cost, quality, and performance.
- Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks preferred), PLM/PDM systems, and compliance processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Passionate about aerospace.
- Proven track record of driving cost, quality, and performance improvements.
- Experience in CAD management, redlining, 3D design, equipment layout, and document control management.
Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
