Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and managing data across various platforms, ensuring data integrity, and supporting overall office operations. This role requires strong computer skills, familiarity with databases and ERP systems, and excellent organizational abilities to maintain efficient data workflows.
Duties
- Performs advanced data entry duties.
- Can support multiple data entry tasks in various systems and can be requested to develop simple standard operating practices on data entry tasks.
- Involved in managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Will be requested to provide guidance to staff once they have a solid background in the work.
- Makes decisions within scope of position and authority as well as independent decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling work for self.
- Can also make decisions that have impact on the department. Inputs Alpha/Numeric data.
- Proofs work for accuracy and completeness.
- Prioritizes work by coding and sorting.
- Corrects errors during visual inspection.
- Maintains accurate records.
- Makes simple mechanical adjustments, such as switching sets and changing control features.
- Generates reports on inputted data.
- Experience with Access preferred.
- Ability to use 10 key adding machine.
- Ability to key 10,000 key strokes per hour.
- Good mathematical ability.
- Good item processing skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience with data entry, clerical work, or administrative support roles
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, databases, and ERP systems
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum of 60 WPM preferred)
- Familiarity with data collection methods, transcription, and order entry processes
- Basic math skills for verifying numerical data accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Prior office experience is preferred but not mandatory; a demonstrated ability to learn quickly is essential
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality data standards
