The engineer leads on-site technical staff and coordinates with vendors to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to incidents, and maintain operational excellence. This role partners closely with IT and business stakeholders to support capacity planning, infrastructure reliability, and facility performance. Key systems include electrical distribution, backup power generation, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), cooling and HVAC systems, and building monitoring platforms. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent technical/trade school or military training.
  • 0–2 years of experience in data center operations, facilities engineering, or critical infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, BMS, or DCIM tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with vendor and contractor management.
  • Exposure to capacity planning and efficiency optimization initiatives.
  • Participation in data center build or expansion projects.

Work Environment

This is an on-site, operations-focused role within a 24/7 critical environment, with work performed in shifts including potential nights, weekends, or on-call rotations. The work environment is highly collaborative, with close coordination across facilities, IT, and vendors, emphasizing safety, standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement.
