Data Center Energy Marshal 5

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Energy Marshal to join our team in Charlotte. This role requires a dedicated professional to oversee energy isolation activities within our data center operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and minimizing business interruptions.

• Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to achieve goals and direct the integration of technical activities.
• Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Review and recommend contracts and cost estimates.
• Audit an Energy Isolation assurance process and address any identified gaps.
• Participate in High Risk Activity planning meetings related to Energy Isolation.
• Establish approval processes for proposed Energy Isolation procedures.
• Collaborate with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to establish an Energy Isolation Permit process.
• Review Statements of Work, Methods of Procedure, and Scripts to identify all energy sources.
• Determine the requirement for group or individual Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Verify qualifications, training, and personal protective equipment for personnel performing energy isolation work.
• Act as an independent authority to stop unsafe work practices related to Energy Isolation.
• Liaise with operations to manage energy isolation activities that may impact data center core operations.
• Serve as the point of contact for all high-risk electrical and mechanical work activities identified through the Change Advisory Board process.
• Attend and participate in technical meetings.
• Coordinate energy isolation activities with all parties to minimize business interruption and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure adherence to the latest Electrical System Analysis during all work.
• Initiate and implement new improvement ideas for safe operations and compliance.
• Support Root Cause Analyses and Postmortems as required.
• Support construction installation to ensure safe execution of the above scope.

• Current NFPA 70E training with a minimum of 4 hours.
• eHazard Training covering HV Safety Hazards, Equipment, LV/HV Testing, and Grounding.
• OSHA 10 training course in Construction or General Industry.
• 5 years of electrical experience in construction and/or data center operations.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred.
• 10 years of experience in relevant fields.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

The work environment is a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with 50 hours per week. The role requires working on-site in Charlotte, and the necessary equipment such as a laptop, mouse, and headset will be provided. Full PPE will be provided by the client. Both Revit and Bluebeam software are required to be installed on the laptop.

This is a Contract position based out of Maiden, NC.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Maiden,NC.
