Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Outreach Specialist to join our team in the Miami/Dade area. In this role, you will support the FPL Storm Secure Underground Program by connecting with service customers, explaining the program, and obtaining necessary documents and signatures for utility easements to close out these projects.
Responsibilities
This position involves working primarily in the field in the Miami area, using your own vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 11 am-7 pm, with some Saturdays as needed, and no overtime. Company equipment and phone will be issued, though you may need to use your personal phone temporarily. Required attire includes jeans and steel-toe boots, with additional PPE provided.

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Outreach Specialist to join our team in the Miami/Dade area. In this role, you will support the FPL Storm Secure Underground Program by connecting with service customers, explaining the program, and obtaining necessary documents and signatures for utility easements to close out these projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilize your own vehicle for driving duties.
- Contact each property owner to discuss the project and proposed equipment placement.
- Explain the Storm Secure Underground Program details to service customers.
- Gain customer agreement to proceed with the project and acquire necessary signatures for easements and acknowledgment forms.
- Maintain ongoing communication with property owners and occupants throughout all stages of the project, following company policies and procedures.
- Organize and submit documents electronically to the support team.
- Deliver excellent customer service and communication skills, ensuring purposeful follow-up and documentation.
- Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and via email with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Read and understand construction and engineering plans.
- Coordinate special projects as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Sales experience, including door-to-door customer field experience and outside sales.
- Account management and field sales skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and making outbound calls.
- Customer support and retail customer service experience.
- Proficient in English; Spanish and/or Creole is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to engage in small talk and communicate effectively with strangers.
- Ability to drive both local and long distances regularly.
- Entry-level position.
- Residency in the Miami/Dade area.
- Prior utility experience is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Jeans or nice pants and steel-toe boots required.
- PPE (Shirt, Vest, etc.) provided by the company.
