Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cost Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning, performing takeoffs, reconciling construction contractor’s costs, conducting Excel analyses, and developing detailed spreadsheets. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working with a construction management team and further your career in cost engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute project takeoffs.
• Reconcile and verify construction contractor's costs.
• Conduct detailed Excel analysis and develop spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with the construction management team.
• Engage in change order processes and negotiations.

Essential Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in construction management.
• Proficient in Excel for analysis and spreadsheet development.
• Background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD software.
• Interest in specializing in cost engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) processes is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills for handling change orders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
