Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and assisting in the repair of electrical control systems.
• This role requires overnight shifts, but offers flexibility in creating shift coverage with the team.

Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot electrical control systems.
• Assist in the repair of electrical control systems.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure shift coverage.
• Utilize PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Apply knowledge in HMI and CAD design.
• Engage in pneumatics and hydraulics tasks.
• Work with Siemens PLC and circuitry.
• Implement variable frequency design and network infrastructure.

Essential Skills

• Troubleshooting skills in PLC and electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical systems and PLC programming.
• Knowledge of HMI and CAD design.
• Associates Degree in a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens PLC is a plus.
• Basic programming skills are required.
• Networking knowledge is desired but not mandatory.

Work Environment

• The role operates in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and hot and cold conditions.
• Shifts are 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am, with rotating shifts that may require day shifts for project work and training.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary in certain areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $43.00/hr.
