Controls Engineer Position Summary We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, safety, and overall plant performance. Responsibilities Design electrical control systems, including schematics, panel layouts, and component selection. Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems. Support new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities. Troubleshoot controls-related equipment issues and provide technical support to maintenance and production teams. Identify and implement process improvements that increase equipment uptime, efficiency, and safety. Manage controls documentation, including electrical drawings, PLC backups, and system records. Coordinate with equipment vendors and contractors on controls-related projects. Train maintenance and operations personnel on new equipment and system functionality. Follow all safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. 4 years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. Knowledge of industrial automation, electrical controls, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software tools. Preferred Experience Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and equipment optimization. Familiarity with machine safety standards and industrial networking. Work Environment This role is split between office and manufacturing floor environments and requires hands-on interaction with production equipment. Candidates should be comfortable working around industrial machinery and supporting production operations when needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
