Job Description

As a Controls and Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in installing new manufacturing systems and upgrading existing systems across various facilities. Responsibilities

• Install new manufacturing systems and upgrade existing systems across multiple facilities.
• Provide on-site support for controls and automation activities at manufacturing facilities.
• Develop, install, and commission plant controls and automation systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and MES data collection.
• Provide technical support for controls and automation systems using the help desk system.
• Design and specify plant control system architecture, including control panels, hardware, and communication networks.
• Establish and enforce process control standards.
• Collaborate with and direct third-party controls engineering partners.

Essential Skills

• 5-10 years experience programming PLCs from scratch.
• Proficiency in HMI development, preferably within Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra Systems.
• Strong background in electrical design.
• Experience in running projects from conception to development.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% within the first year.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
• background in the food and beverage, consumer goods, or similar industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rockwell systems.

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
