Job Title: Controls Engineer | Hybrid | No Relocation

Job Description

As a Controls Engineer, you will manage the daily operations of the engineering team, including workload planning, budgeting, and resource coordination. You will ensure that safety engineering services for each project meet or exceed customer expectations. Acting as the primary point of contact for the engineering team, you will evaluate and monitor the performance of each team member.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the engineering team.
• Plan and allocate workloads and budgets effectively.
• Coordinate resources to ensure project completion.
• Ensure safety engineering services meet project scope and customer expectations.
• Evaluate and monitor team members’ performance.
• Serve as the primary contact for the engineering team.

Essential Skills

• Project management experience.
• Proficiency in panel design and PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with machine safety and risk assessment.
• Competence in AutoCAD.
• Direct machinery experience in either a supporting or designing role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field.
• Experience with installation and retrofits.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.

Work Environment

This position offers a remote work environment with significant travel to customer sites, approximately 260 days per year. The schedule alternates between one week on-site at a customer location and one week working remotely from home. You will work an average of 40-50 hours per week and must be able to adapt to both supervised and unsupervised work settings. Physical capability to work on factory floors, climb stairs, and be on your feet for 10-12 hours per day is required. This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
