Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Geology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking samples and cores from various sites, organizing core samples and reports, preparing core sample shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Take samples and cores from designated sites.
- Organize core samples and maintain detailed reports.
- Prepare core sample shipments and associated paperwork for transfer.
- Maintain accurate records of all geological activities.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in soil sampling and environmental science.
- Knowledge of environmental engineering and geology.
- Experience in geotechnical and geological fieldwork.
- Familiarity with groundwater and data collection techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology or Environmental Science is required.
- Some field experience is essential.
- Candidates with a landscaping background will be considered if they possess the required degree.
Work Environment
The position involves fieldwork, requiring physical activity in various environmental conditions. Candidates should be prepared to work in outdoor settings and handle geological samples. The dress code is appropriate for fieldwork, emphasizing safety and functionality.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
