- Provide continuous field oversight by walking active work fronts to verify that installed work aligns with approved drawings, submittals, specifications, and testing requirements.
- Inspect work in place, identify nonconformances, and ensure that inspection and testing activities are executed as planned and documented appropriately.
- Review contractor deliverables, including submittals, RFIs, schedules, and OFCI equipment requirements, to confirm that quality and commissioning needs are embedded in execution plans.
- Track inspection and testing documentation to confirm readiness for upcoming milestones and support proper integration of OFCI components across trades.
- Participate in OAC, progress, and pre-construction meetings to provide input on quality risks, schedule impacts, install readiness, and execution risk.
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects and inform project controls and decision-making.
- Review, recommend, and approve contracts and cost estimates to support effective project delivery and alignment with quality and safety requirements.
- Confer with management, production, and other project stakeholders to discuss project specifications, procedures, and coordination across teams.
- Recruit project staff when needed, assign and direct their work, evaluate performance, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence in QA/QC and safety practices.
- Exercise ownership of safety programs in the field by planning and controlling high-risk work, enforcing compliance with safety standards, and using stop-work authority when necessary.
- Support project controls by contributing to schedule tracking, RFI and submittal review, change order support, and coordination among contractors, trades, and stakeholders.
- Identify issues that may impact commissioning, turnover, or delivery readiness and support documentation compliance to maintain alignment with contract quality requirements.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Work independently to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain consistent field presence while meeting project deadlines and quality expectations.
Essential Skills
- 7 years of direct construction field execution and QA/QC oversight experience, including inspecting work in place, validating against drawings and submittals, managing nonconformances, and enforcing inspection and testing requirements in active construction environments.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings, lead discussions, and document quality and safety issues clearly.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve issues that may affect quality, safety, or schedule.
- Ability to work independently, manage one’s time effectively, and maintain a consistent presence in the field while balancing documentation and meeting participation.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective construction and delivery outcomes.
- Knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods in a construction environment.
