Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. This role involves performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. The technician will interface regularly with project managers, client representatives, and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
- Conduct observations and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Interface regularly with project managers, client representatives, and contractors.
- Utilize field data collection apps and reporting software to document findings.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on active construction sites.
- Experience in concrete testing, soil testing, and construction materials testing.
- Proficiency in using field data collection apps and reporting software.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification.
- Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification.
- NICET Level I or II in Construction Materials Testing.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety training.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients.
The majority of the time is spent outdoors on active construction sites, with exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. The position involves working around heavy equipment, traffic, and active crews, which requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Regular communication with project managers, contractors, and clients is expected, and the role involves a mix of independent fieldwork and collaborative reporting and problem-solving.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
