Job Title: Construction Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Foreman to oversee concrete projects. As an on-site Construction Foreman, you will play a critical role in managing schedules, coordinating with project managers to ensure timely material orders, and maintaining effective communication and organization throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage concrete and masonry projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers to order materials in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and manage a team of up to 35 individuals.
• Conduct tool box talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Calculate man-hours and prepare 2-week look-ahead schedules.
• Maintain effective organization and communication with all team members and stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing concrete or masonry projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Experience in commercial construction projects.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and lead a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
• Experience in conducting tool box talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Capability to calculate man-hours and manage scheduling effectively.

Work Environment

This position requires working on-site for a 5-day workweek at a project located in Bergen County. The role offers opportunities for upward mobility and growth within a concrete and masonry firm. The work environment fosters collaboration, safety, and a commitment to quality.

This is a Contract position based out of Kearny, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
