Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

This role is essential to ensuring timely sample preparation, inventory coordination, and seamless collaboration across production, quality control, and shipping departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound samples for internal teams and customers.
• Operate lab equipment, including spray dryers, homogenizers, mixers, and extractors.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and proactively resolve backorders.
• Collaborate to refine formulas and support development projects.
• Clean and sterilize lab equipment and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Monitor raw material stock levels and coordinate replenishment with Procurement.
• Document batch records and ensure formula security.

Essential Skills

• 1–3 years of compounding experience, preferably in flavors or food.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Solid math and reasoning skills.
• Commitment to safety and good lab practices.
• Wet chemistry proficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant field is preferred, but experience is prioritized over educational qualifications.

Work Environment

The position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, starting at 7/7:30 am. The environment is fast-paced with coordination across all departments. Enjoy a fun and inclusive company culture with a modern facility.

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield, IL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Deerfield,IL.
