Compounder/Blender Operator
Job Description
The Blender Operator is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP's, HAACP, Allergen protocols, and other regulations as required. The Batch Operator ensures the quality and integrity of products, maintaining customer satisfaction and adhering to company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Transport required ingredients and pre-weighs from the staging area to the blending area.
- Monitor and incorporate push outs and Dump to Bulk (DTB) back into the system.
- Hook up hoses, pumps, and lines for bulk concentrate or juice transfers from storage tanks.
- Maintain, build, and start up filter(s) and open drums, inspecting and maintaining filter blankets.
- Program touch screen for product delivery from silo room to blend tanks.
- Follow instructions on blending sheets, add proper ingredients, and accurately record amounts.
Essential Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, production, and compounding.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, with the capacity to routinely lift 60lbs.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain batch records.
- Strong mathematical skills, including measurements and formulas.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality, GMP, and general production.
- Proficiency in blending, mixing, and chemical processes.
Work Environment
The Batch Operator will work within the Quality Department and Manufacturing area. This role involves operating in a high-stress/pressure environment and requires adherence to safety and sanitation protocols. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
