Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated commissioning engineer with strong mechanical experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in the data centers market, capable of executing project assignments with precision.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings.
- Conduct equipment pre-start-up procedures and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
- Prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation.
- Develop commissioning test procedures and reports.
- Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other project tracking tools.
- Write detailed reports including recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, and maintenance manuals.
- Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other commissioning documentation.
- Develop and administer functional tests for systems like mechanical central chilled water plants, packaged rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and more.
- Conduct integrated system testing and building management system testing.
- Compile all testing procedure results.
Essential Skills
- Experience in construction and commissioning within hospitals, large/complex facilities, and mission-critical facilities like data centers.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the Electrical Mission Critical Field.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field.
- Good communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors, equipment vendors, and owners' agents.
- Experience with IEEE procedures and protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
- Desirable to be certified with one of the tech companies.
- Experience in A/E work with complex facilities or mission-critical projects.
- Basic knowledge of system design.
- Commissioning certification or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Work Environment
The role involves 60-65% travel, sometimes requiring being on-site for 2-3 weeks at a time. With a backlog extending out for 3 years, there is a steady stream of projects, ensuring job stability and longevity.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
Profit Sharing, 401k, bonus, 4 salary evaluations a year
