Position Overview
The Clinical Trial Budget Analyst will play a critical role in accelerating study start‑up activities by leading site budget negotiations across U.S. and/or global clinical sites. This role requires a candidate with strong sponsor‑side experience and deep familiarity with structural heart clinical trials.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of developing, reviewing, and negotiating site budgets that align with corporate policies, study requirements, fair market value (FMV), and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage site budget negotiations with clinical trial sites during study start‑up.
- Review proposed site budgets and ensure alignment with sponsor cost structures, FMV standards, and protocol‑specific requirements.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure budgets are compliant, accurate, and approved within expected timelines.
- Track negotiation progress, maintain organized documentation, and provide regular updates on status and risk areas.
- Support refinement of budget templates, payment terms, and financial frameworks as needed.
- Troubleshoot budget‑related issues with sites to prevent delays in activation.
- Partner closely with study teams to align on start‑up priorities and activation goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of site budget negotiation experience specifically supporting structural heart clinical trials.
- Sponsor‑side experience required (CRO‑only experience not sufficient).
- Strong understanding of clinical trial budgeting principles, FMV analysis, payment schedules, and contract/budget workflows.
- Experience working with U.S. and clinical sites.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
- Comfortable working remotely; ET or CT time zones preferred for team alignment.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Location: Fully remote (U.S. based; ET or CT preferred)
- Focus: Site budget negotiations during the pivotal study start‑up phase
- End of Need: Role concludes once all sites are activated

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
