Job Title: Clinical RaterJob Description
This role involves working with individuals diagnosed with acute psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression. The Clinical Rater will be responsible for conducting various clinical and neurocognitive test evaluations and interviews, as well as scoring tests to assess cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral, and emotional states in accordance with study protocols.
Responsibilities
The position is based in Marlton, NJ, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and includes on-call duties on weekends on a rotating schedule approximately once a month. Candidates must have flexibility for weekend shifts. The role involves handling anywhere from 3 to 7 studies, depending on the number of patients per study, and seeing 1 to 4 patients per day based on the type of scales used. When not seeing patients, responsibilities include writing reports, following up with patients, and updating PIs.

The Clinical Rater will be responsible for conducting various clinical and neurocognitive test evaluations and interviews, as well as scoring tests to assess cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral, and emotional states in accordance with study protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform interviews and ratings on study subjects to assess current levels of functioning and create a clinical impression of their psychiatric state throughout the study.
- Administer neurocognitive battery tests to subjects with different CNS indications.
- Complete clinical intake forms, including psychiatric history, and submit them to the study team as specified.
- Assess and complete subject eligibility/screening forms and interact with the medical monitor regarding subject inquiries.
- Conduct telephone screens and pre-screen potential study candidates.
- Adhere to policies and principles of confidentiality, informed consent, and study subject rights.
- Follow the principles of Good Clinical Practices and general ethical guidelines related to clinical trials.
- Become familiar with FDA regulations pertaining to clinical trials.
- Review medical history with CRC information obtained at screening and reconcile medical records, preparing PI notes to explain discrepancies if needed.
- Complete Study Guides and Study Launch with CRC.
- Assist the team in the management and assessment of adverse events to ensure the safety of subjects.
- Assist with recruitment efforts and mentor staff as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Clinical assessment skills, with a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology and experience in performing psychological evaluations.
- Experience with acute psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, etc.
- Proficiency in psychological evaluations and clinical assessments.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D.) or an equivalent degree.
- Open to candidates with a Master's degree or foreign medical graduates with over 10 years of clinical rating experience for clinical research.
- Clinical research experience is not mandatory.
