Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team and support new project work with a primary focus on civil and structural design. The individual will lead the design and analysis of civil and structural engineering products, leveraging their expertise to develop innovative solutions for a wide range of projects, including support structures, concrete foundations, and enclosure designs. The engineer will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and technical staff to ensure project completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform and review engineering design and structural analysis for steel structures and concrete foundations.
- Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and the parent company.
- Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support project proposals and bid strategies.
- Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.
- Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements.
- Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment.
- Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates.
- Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements.
- Interface with internal and external teams to ensure design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for.
- Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality.
- Represent the company in meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
- Structural design and analysis expertise.
- Ability to generate structural reports and answer questions from EPC.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related engineering field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in the Power or Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD, SAP2000, and GT Strudl.
- Familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, AISC 360, and ACI 318.
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
- Experience with gas turbine design, auxiliary systems, nuclear engineering, or foundations for rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with AISC 341, ACI 351, DIN 4024, and ISO 1940 is a plus.
- Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D/Revit and AutoCAD/MicroStation is desired.
The work is based in the North American HQ for Plant Engineering, a multi-disciplinary office encompassing Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Controls, and project management departments. The office is home to approximately 100 professionals, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Travel requirements are minimal, set at 10%.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
