Civil Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. The role involves traveling to various job sites across all five boroughs, conducting field inspections, and preparing detailed reports. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to collaborate with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure the quality and success of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites across all five boroughs based on client needs.
• Conduct field inspections and complete reports remotely.
• Prepare detailed field reports, inspection logs, and photographic documentation; submit findings to clients and internal teams.
• Perform TPP inspections with company-provided training and support.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and project managers to resolve field issues and maintain project timelines.
• Monitor construction activities for quality control, including concrete testing, structural inspections, and materials verification.
• Assist in reviewing permits, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with field conditions.
• Identify and troubleshoot on-site issues, recommending corrective actions and coordinating with stakeholders for resolution.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Background in civil or structural engineering
• 5 years of experience in the field

• Engineering expertise
• Professional engineering qualifications
• Experience in structural engineering
• NICET certification (plus)
• ACI certification (plus)

The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility for field reporting. The role is not office-based and involves traveling within the NYC area. There is no overtime as hours are capped at 40 per week. We offer opportunities for growth and a generous PTO policy, starting at 4 weeks for new employees and increasing to 6 weeks with tenure.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $76.92/hr.
