Seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Engineer to join our Site Design department. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and will be responsible for plan production, site grading, and utility design using Civil3D. This position involves working under a Professional Engineer (PE) to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and design of civil engineering projects.
- Perform grading and utility design using Civil 3D software.
- Collaborate with the Site Design team to develop project plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
- Review projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support the PE in various engineering tasks and project management activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D software desired.
- 1-4 years of experience with site design and land development projects.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal engineering standards and regulations.
- Previous internship or work experience in a civil engineering role
- Strong understanding of grading and utility design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional engineering setting
This is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
