Job Title: Civil Engineer in Training (EIT)

Job Description

Join our dynamic team to work on a wide range of water and wastewater projects for municipal and public-sector clients. You will conduct engineering studies, prepare plans and specifications, and apply Civil Engineering principles across planning, design, and construction phases. This role involves collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative and technically sound designs for new facilities, expansions, upgrades, and retrofits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering tasks while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
• Engage in the full project lifecycle—from concept and planning through design, construction, and successful system operation.
• Assist in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, gravity sewer systems, pressure pipelines, and storage facilities.
• Perform Civil Engineering design tasks, hydraulic modeling, and CAD-related work.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal team members, clients, contractors, and project partners.
• Manage the technical aspects of projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Take accountability for the successful delivery of Civil Engineering project components.
• Participate in meetings with clients and contractors and help resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Prepare clear, effective technical documentation and client communications, both written and in drawings and specifications.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Civil Engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Civil 3D, land development, site development, grading, and Civil design.
• Competence in using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4-7 years of experience in wastewater engineering.

This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $55.00/hr.
