Job Description

We are seeking a driven Civil Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects while working alongside a team of experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. The Civil Engineer will report to the Executive Vice President of Design and Civil Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in the design of civil engineering projects, including land development and site design, transportation and roadway improvements, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Perform advanced engineering calculations and cost estimates.
• Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and quality control.
• Prepare to mentor other staff and contribute to team development as experience grows.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3-10 years of civil engineering design experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills, leadership potential, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with hydrology/hydraulic modeling software and GIS tools is a plus.
• Certification: PE or Passed FE.
• Experience with municipal, transportation, or land development projects.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes.

Work Environment

The position is based in an office located in Maryville. The company provides a computer and necessary software. Paid holidays and a progressive paid time off policy are also included.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $72.12/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Maryville,TN.

Salary : $46 - $72
