Job Description

As a Chemist, your strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail will ensure the seamless operation of our laboratory processes. Our team supports your professional growth, providing the resources to build an exciting career in the analytical chemist industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of and commit to the safe handling and use of chemicals in the lab.
• Test, approve, and release batches for production through High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analyses.
• Conduct a variety of wet chemistry tests, including pH, viscosity, and other basic analyses.
• Learn and adhere to all analytical testing procedures and customer methods.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment, coordinating with manufacturers for timely repairs.
• Follow good safety, housekeeping practices, and Good Laboratory Practice standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and other personnel as a team.
• Perform batch adjustment and mass balance calculations.
• Execute Out-of-Specification (OOS) procedures and communicate findings to the customer.
• Enter analytical results into the database, review data entry, and submit results to customers.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
• Knowledge of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
• Experience with wet chemistry, including pH and viscosity analysis.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory is preferred.
• Flexibility to work any shift during busy seasons and on production lines during slower periods.
• Experience in quality control.
• Familiarity with EPA - FIFRA and RICRA regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment.

Work Environment

The shift for this position is from 4am - 2:30pm Monday - Thursday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
