Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemist II who will perform analytical work in compliance with applicable regulations. The role involves method development and validation of bioanalytical assays, utilizing automated pipetting extraction instruments and HPLC with MS detection techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills for compiling and analyzing assay results and will be responsible for writing, reviewing, and approving data reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform and ensure analytical work complies with applicable regulations.
• Develop and validate bioanalytical assays.
• Conduct assays using automated pipetting extraction instruments and HPLC with MS detection.
• Compile and analyze assay results using computer skills.
• Write, review, and approve data reports.
• Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Essential Skills

• Degree in chemistry or a related field.
• Proficiency in Liquid Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry (HPLC-MS).
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience compiling and analyzing data using multiple computerized systems.
• Understanding of Good Documentation Practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of bioanalytical sample analysis using HPLC-MS.
• General lab skills including safety, solution preparations, and use of lab instruments like balances, pH meters, and pipettes.
• Knowledge of bioanalytical extraction techniques and instrumentation including protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, and solid-phase extraction.
• Intermediate experience with HPLC-MS Data Processing and Analysis using SCIEX Analyst.
• Good documentation skills following ALCOA principles.
• Familiarity with GLP and other regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems.

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in North Chicago,IL.
