Chemical Blender

Job Description

Provide daily bulk liquid blending expertise in accordance with batch blend ticket orders. Follow blend procedures and batch formulas to assure product specifications are met, and perform filling operations as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blending or quantity calculations and verify product order specification through testing.
• Notify department supervisor of order inaccuracy or regulatory inconsistencies.
• Issue non-conformance reports and adhere to the ISO-9000 quality procedures program.
• Communicate status of blending or production progress to the department supervisor.
• Ensure blending and packaging accuracy of customer orders.
• Calculate and confirm order quantities according to customer specifications.
• Perform work efficiently and communicate production activities with the department supervisor.
• Be knowledgeable of product characteristics and hazards as stated in the MSDS.
• Oversee inventories of available raw material and supplies.
• Operate necessary conveying equipment and forklifts as needed.
• Assist in the hands-on training and development of new employees.
• Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the department supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical handling, blending, or packaging operations.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO standards.
• High school or equivalent education.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to read, write, and perform math calculations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Joliet,IL.
