Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Schedule:
- Shifts: Monday - Friday, rotating days
- Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (40 hours per week)
- Additional: On-call requirement, one opening is 36 hours per week
Job Summary:
Actalent is seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic Operating Room (OR) team. This role is vital for ensuring optimal surgical outcomes by supporting surgeons and the OR team. Key Responsibilities:
Core Surgical Duties:
- Serve as the first scrub during surgeries, passing sterile instruments and supplies while assisting the surgeon directly.
- Anticipate and respond to surgeon requests based on case knowledge.
- Perform second scrub duties, including holding retractors, sponging or suctioning operative sites, applying electrocautery (within scope), as directed by the surgeon.
Collaboration & Preparation:
- Work with circulating RNs to account for all items at the sterile field following policy guidelines.
- Assist RNs in gathering appropriate supplies for surgical procedures.
- Mix, label, and administer drugs and solutions within the sterile field, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Additional OR Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, and manage supplies, equipment, and facilities pre- and post-surgery.
- Arrange equipment and instruments as per surgical requirements.
- Wash and sterilize equipment per manufacturers' recommendations.
- Assist with patient positioning on the OR table and post-surgical dressing applications.
- Scrub and gown/glove appropriately, aiding team members in doing the same.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Required: Certified Surgical Technologist certification
- Skills: Surgical instrumentation, sterilization techniques, OR procedures
- Commitment to professional growth with a minimum of 15 continuing education credits per year
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and support for organizational values and goals
Bonuses:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83500.00 - $120900.00/yr.
