Job Description
Our Client, a manufacturer of fire trucks for municipalities across the country, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. The role involves working directly with dealers to ensure quotes are accurate and feasible for manufacturing. The position provides an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding company with a growing dealer network.
Responsibilities
- Utilize quote writer software and DraftSight to create clean quotes from dealers, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
- Modify and edit 2D drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring assemblies are feasible.
- Collaborate with dealers to understand orders and validate manufacturing capabilities.
- Serve as a liaison between the engineering department and the dealer network.
- Update and modify offerings in the quote writer software.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D for modifying drawings.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with dealers.
- Excel skills for managing data and quotes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in quotes and drawings.
- Strong computer skills for efficient use of software tools.
Work Environment
Office-based role within a small family-owned company experiencing significant growth. The environment is professional and collaborative, focusing on expanding the dealer network from 4 to 22. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.25/hr.
