Job Description
This role focuses on transforming engineering concepts into buildable systems by producing fabrication-ready drawings and detailed 3D models for modular gas-to-liquid and biogas processing equipment. Working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines, you will develop clear, accurate documentation that supports fabrication, assembly, and field service operations. From piping and structural frames to control panels and enclosures, your work will help ensure that designs are manufacturable, reliable, and ready for deployment. Responsibilities
Design & Draft
• Create 2D and 3D fabrication drawings for piping, frames, weldments, and assemblies using Inventor and AutoCAD.
Support Manufacturing
• Collaborate with welders, assemblers, and QA teams to confirm drawings are accurate, practical, and serviceable.
Data Management
• Maintain revision control, metadata, and bill of materials accuracy within Vault.
Systems Integration
• Develop control panel layouts, conduit routing, and enclosure designs that align with electrical and controls requirements.
Clear Documentation
• Produce exploded views, subassembly documentation, and assembly instructions that streamline manufacturing and builds.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Interpret P&IDs, schematics, and layouts to deliver complete mechanical and electrical drawing packages.
Qualifications
• Background in Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field (associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault in fabrication, equipment design, or similar environments.
• Experience with ASME piping, structural frames, and mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with electrical/control panel layouts, conduit routing, and enclosure design.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with welding symbols, GD&T, and industry-standard drafting practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with shop personnel and cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Experience (Bonus Points)
• Experience supporting UL 508A panel builds or similar electrical standards.
• Knowledge of NEMA enclosures, HMI panels, or hazardous area classifications (such as Class I Div 2).
• Understanding of wiring best practices, including bend radius, thermal spacing, and labeling standards.
• Prior exposure to plant skids, electromechanical assemblies, or packaged process systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockledge, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
