Job Description
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join our team in Indianapolis. In this full-time role, you will work closely with our Fire Protection Engineers and Building Code Consultants to document fire and life safety features on existing architectural drawings using AutoCAD. This position primarily involves projects in Indiana and Ohio, with occasional work in surrounding states.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify drawings under the supervision of the CAD Manager.
- Add symbols, text, and details to drawings as specified by engineers.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to assigned work shifts.
- Update and organize internal documents and files related to building codes and fire protection designs.
- Collaborate directly with the CAD Manager to align designs with fire protection standards and building codes.
Essential Skills
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with drafting and fire protection design.
- Knowledge of building codes and polycolor lines.
Work Environment
You will work in a standard office environment with Monday to Friday hours, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our office is conveniently located on the west side of Indianapolis. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
