Cad Designer

Job Overview:

The CAD Designer is a fully trained early-career designer who works largely autonomously on assigned design tasks and project scopes with periodic review from Lead Designers. This role is responsible for producing accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings for water and wastewater treatment equipment while developing deeper proficiency in CAD tools design standards and skid constructability.

A successful CAD Designer demonstrates solid technical judgment low rework rates and the ability to manage their own deliverables within project schedules. They begin contributing beyond task execution by identifying issues early coordinating with peers and supporting junior designers as needed.

• Hands on experience in fabrication/assembly shops
• Experience creating fabrication drawings
• Good understanding of P&ID's, equipment layouts, and piping components
• Knowledgeable in Fabrication and skid assembly design
• Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, added advantage if experience with plant 3d and AdvancedSteel)

Education:

• Associates degree in Drafting and Design or Mechanical Design
  • Plus 2-5 year's of experience within Industrial equipment, process systems, or skid based design

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
