Construction Safety Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Manager to join a general contractor on a newly awarded, confidential data center construction project in Cheyenne, WY. This fast-paced role offers a significant opportunity for career advancement, with interviews starting immediately. The EH&S Manager will play a critical role in ensuring site safety and regulatory compliance by working closely with project leadership, client representatives, subcontractors, and field teams to support safe and efficient project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all EH&S programs for a large, active data center construction site
• Serve as the primary safety contact on site, interacting directly with the client’s on-site representative
• Conduct site safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training
• Monitor jobsite conditions and worker activities to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Issue observation reports and follow up on corrective actions
• Support and collaborate with the Superintendent and project team
• Attend weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings
• Enforce safety expectations with professionalism and appropriate assertiveness
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to EH&S activities

Qualifications:

• 8 years of EH&S experience in construction environments
• Strong working knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices
• Experience working directly with project leadership and client representatives
• Bilingual capability is highly preferred
• Data center or mission-critical project experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with steel erection and electrical work is highly preferred

Work Environment: The position is based on an active construction site in Cheyenne, WY, with open field conditions. An office trailer with a dedicated indoor workspace is provided. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with 10-hour workdays and the possibility of working Saturdays based on project needs. Employment is on an hourly contract basis, with the potential for overtime and future long-term opportunities for strong performers. Equipment such as a laptop, iPad, and cell phone will be provided.

This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Cheyenne,WY.
