Buyer | Farmington, CT (Onsite)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our growing team in Farmington, CT. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, has a passion for supply chain operations, and wants to make a direct impact on inventory performance and supplier relationships.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring materials are ordered, tracked, and delivered on time to support our operations. You’ll work closely with a tight-knit team and cross-functional partners to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the full purchasing cycle for assigned categories, including quoting, planning, ordering, and tracking deliveries
• Monitor inventory levels and take action to maintain optimal stock aligned with company goals
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve purchasing and inventory challenges
• Maintain accurate purchasing schedules to support on-time delivery and operations
• Process invoices and purchasing transactions accurately within the ERP system
• Support supplier coordination, including tracking orders and resolving basic delivery issues
• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and reporting
• Help identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and inventory performance

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a strong plus)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• High attention to detail, especially with data entry, tracking, and documentation
• Comfortable working with invoices, financial transactions, and purchasing records
• Solid communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Nice to Have

• Experience in a manufacturing or service-based environment
• Exposure to ERP implementations or system transitions
• Understanding of supplier management and supply chain processes

Work Environment

• Onsite role in Farmington, CT
• Monday through Friday schedule (typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some flexibility)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Farmington, CT.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
