Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Operations Manager with a strong background in asphalt and concrete construction. This role is ideal for a bilingual professional (English/Spanish) who excels at managing office operations while supporting field crews and project managers. The position plays a critical role in keeping projects on track, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining clear communication between the office and the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations supporting asphalt and concrete construction projects.
- Develop and maintain organized systems for project documentation, reporting, and compliance.
- Serve as the primary coordination point between field crews, project managers, and leadership.
- Provide administrative and operational support to project managers and field personnel.
- Maintain complete and accurate project files, including contracts, change orders, permits, and closeout documents.
- Track job costs, labor hours, and production reports.
- Assist with subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and bid-related documentation.
- Coordinate materials, equipment rentals, and vendor communications.
- Process certified payroll, prevailing wage reports, and labor compliance documentation.
- Maintain employee records, onboarding paperwork, and assist with general HR functions.
- Support safety compliance efforts and ensure required documentation is current and complete.
- Prepare correspondence, internal reports, and meeting summaries as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of office or operations management experience in a construction environment (asphalt/concrete experience strongly preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Working knowledge of prevailing wage, certified payroll, and public works requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and construction-related software such as QuickBooks, Procore, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to active job sites.
- Fast-paced setting with frequent interaction between office staff and field teams.
- May require extended hours during peak construction periods.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $114000.00/yr.
Benefits: • Medical/Dental/Vision benefits after 60 days, 401K benefits after 60 days, with up to 3% company match after 1 year .
