Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design operating logic for PLCs, robots, and HMIs. You will simulate, test, and optimize equipment performance while integrating third-party equipment with our systems. Your role will involve configuring and troubleshooting Industrial Ethernet, IP addressing, and communication protocols to ensure reliable data exchange. You will also be responsible for connecting equipment to ERP, MES/MIS, and database systems, implementing data transfer, traceability, and data logging solutions. A strong understanding of software architecture principles in industrial integrations is essential, and you will collaborate closely with automation/PLC teams. You will also participate in equipment commissioning at U.S. facilities and deploy solutions at client sites across North America, providing technical support to internal teams and customers.
Responsibilities
- Design operating logic for PLCs, robots, and HMIs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong programming experience with software and hardware integration experience.
- Understanding of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, TCP/IP, CAN/J1939, etc.).
- Knowledge of PLC operation and ability to interpret ladder logic.
- Experience bridging machine-level automation with IT systems.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES integrations, databases, and data-flow design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in both IT and industrial environments.
- Willingness to travel for commissioning and customer deployment (up to 10%).
