Job Description
The Associate Program Director is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of clinical research programs. This role involves leading clinical programs from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate clinical trials within assigned programs, manage budgets, ensure compliance, lead cross-functional teams, liaise with stakeholders, facilitate project deliverables from startup to closeout, and drive program milestones.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee clinical research programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate clinical trials, managing budgets and ensuring compliance.
- Lead cross-functional teams and facilitate project deliverables from startup to closeout.
- Serve as a liaison between key opinion leaders, CRO partners, vendors, regulatory bodies, internal study, and medical teams.
- Facilitate timely communication and information exchange among stakeholders.
- Ensure clinical studies are conducted in accordance with program timelines and budget.
Essential Skills
- Strategic planning, execution, and oversight of clinical research programs.
- Program oversight and project design experience.
- Global experience in North America and Europe.
- Experience in Dermatology programs/projects, particularly in atopic dermatitis.
- Project management, clinical research, vendor management, regulatory, clinical operation, and clinical trial management skills.
- Master’s degree in health sciences, nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical research operations.
- Extensive knowledge of ICH GCP and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in early and late-stage clinical trials.
- PMP Certification preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a related life science discipline is preferred.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic planning, leadership, budget, and contract management skills.
- Operational proficiency in clinical trial management systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
The position is based in North America, ideally on the East Coast, operating in the EST time zone. Ideally looking for someone local to Princeton, NJ but open to candidates on east coast. While remote work is possible, candidates are encouraged to be able to visit the office in person, particularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to be part of team huddles. Quarterly visits to the office are expected if residing outside the local area. The work environment values in-person collaboration and fosters a team-centric culture.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Princeton, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $96.16 - $96.16/hr.
